Due to limited funds we have been considering a mansion of trailers and storage containers
Should be interesting!

Also
due to the current recession our finances are in such a difficult stait. As a result it has cut into our horse breeding operation a little bit. Better luck next year.

Then there is our beloved dog Baxter. He is some kind of a Russell Terrier Mutt. Anyways yesterday, I was at PetSmart buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Baxter. I was in the checkout line when the woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant?

So, since so have little to do, on impulse I told her, 'No, I don't have a dog. I am starting the Purina Diet again.'

I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet, and that the way it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets. Then you simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well, and I was going to try it again.

I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me.

I told her, 'No, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter and a car hit us both.'

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard. And ... PetSmart won't let me shop there anymore.

  3. I revoke all responsibility for this man. I will try to give him his meds and keep him locked away from this computer. But I hope you've enjoyed the laughs anyway, Holly

  4. As I was reading this, yes laughing hysterically, I thought, this must be one of Shawn's conversations! And as I read toward the bottom, sure enough it was!!!! I can't beleive this. Were you there with him? If so, how could you have kept a straight face, especially one of embarassment?? Well, then again, you must be used to it.

    Great story! Thanks for sharing

  5. Holly, I just now read this story and true to form I believed it(almost). They always said I was gullible. I'll put that diet on my next to be tried. Ha! ( Part of the story that had me questioning is the fact that you're shopping at Pet Smart instead of Walmart.)
