It Is Finally Finished!!!

Drum roll please...
As Brittany always says

The kitchen is finally done and here is the unveiling of how horrid things can be transformed by paint!

Before...
The yucky wall paper coming off...

After...
Thanks, Brit, for sharing about Kliz One Coat, it went on like a dream.

Before...
A full length shot, excuse the mess, but I wanted you to see it at its worst!

After...
I moved the hutch down and hung a dresser mirror up instead. That blanket chest has travelled with me from Canada and back again several times;)

Before...
Check out the disgusting pink counter tops...

After...
The sunlight and Mom's camera make my cabinets seem yellow, but they're really cream.

It's amazing how beautiful paneling can be when painted a yummy color!

So, come by and have tea with me, and we'll pretend we're in Europe instead of rural Arkansas,K?
Thanks for taking the tour with me...

  1. Holly, it looks awesome!! The red door is my favorite part :) It looks so cool with the yellow walls. I love the new counter top color, too. And I like the way you hung the curtains...whooda thunk it?! You really have a way with bringing colors together - it all looks great!

  4. Holly, I enjoyed cooking in your kitchen. Why does a clean, well-decorated kitchen make even cooking more fun? Well, whatever it is, the whole visit with you was wonderful. You are a marvelous cook and so much fun to be with! I love you, Mom

  5. Holly, I was in Hobby Lobby with Britt today. I was looking for a large 'French' looking bowl for your table. They are clearing out their bright yellow with rooster stuff. Fifty dollars marked down to twenty. Wish you'd go look at them.

  7. Hi, Holly,I just read your new post. How was co-op? Yes, the weather is cold and dreary here, too. But, I like it! Snow is on it's way in a few days. This is soup season. Did you take pictures when you hosted 8 overnight guests? What an undertaking in your small house! I bet they enjoyed your stew and bread. You are such a great cook. I love you. We will talk soon.
